- Go to https://olympus.err:943/
- Login with admin login credentials
- Scan barcode by Google Authenticator
- Check new OpenVPN entry in your Google Authenticator with admin account name
- Click “I Scanned the QR code” button
- It displays “Google Authenticator Enabled” section
- Login with admin login credentials
- You'll be asked to enter code displayed in Google Authenticator so do it
- Go to User Management then type your username, select group and enter your own password
- Click “Save Settings” on bottom then click “Update Running Server” on top
- Logout
- Login with your own account from https://olympus.err:943/
- Do the same Google Authenticator stuff, scan, click “I scanned” button
- Now you have another OpenVPN entry in your Google Authenticator with your username
- Download “OpenVPN Connect” using link in the same page
- Download your connection profile in the same page
- Open “OpenVPN Connect” application
- Delete pre-loaded Errigal OpenVPN profile
- Load your OpenVPN profile you just downloaded
- Test your profile with click Connect as “your username”
- Dialog asks you if you trust our “UNVERIFIED” profile so click yes
- Dialog asks you to enter login credentials
- Your username should be already entered
- Enter your password
- Enter Google Authentication Code for OpenVPN with your username
- Click connect and it should connect!
OpenVPN Administrator
Create a new user
- In office or connect to VPN Network
- Login to https://10.91.120.28:943/admin/ using openvpn admin user
- Select User Management / User Permissions
- Scroll to button to “New Username” and enter details as required
- username - First letter firstname + Surname
- Select appropriate group - Dev or Ops
- Allow AutoLogin check box (2nd checkbox)
- Click save settings
- Click Update Running Server to push new user
New user not in office (Covid scenario)
VPN Administrator must
- Select new user from user list and click Edit icon
- Set password to complex (12 character random value)
- logout of OPEN VPN as Admin
- login to Open VPN non Admin - https://10.91.120.28:943/
- Add QR Code to a temp authenicator
- Enter QR code to complete signin
- Download the ovpn files (2 - Client & AutoLogin)
- Issue all 5 pieces to new joiner via slack
