DatabaseReconnectionIssue

Level: Critical

Purpose: This alert is triggered by a log line in the displaying an error connecting to the MySQL database. This will only appear for ATC, KLA and SCO. It is a common one if the AWS connection was denied.

Scenario:

Resolution: Restart the application and then if the log line doesn't exist, it will clear the alert.

Manual Action Steps: If this is a new environment, then you may have misconfigured the database connection information in the env-configuration.

If this is a standard application then this is a bit more worrying. Please check over the env-configuration;s history. Something may have been added to other environments that is required for this application. Of course, compare this application to other environments' env-configurations. If nothing is clearly the problem then ask if there were any changes to the database connection in the application for this development cycle.

Perhaps the database was changed on another branch of the env-configuration and it wasn't merged.
