Level: Critical

Purpose: Alerts if client active alarm poller in the SNMP Manager has stopped running; this is used to update the Node Monitor.

Scenario: If the following is missing from the SNMP Manager logs in the previous 10 minutes 'CLIENT ACTIVE ALARM POLLER IS ALIVE:'

Resolution: Restart Client active alarm poller using Remote Discovery Script

Manual Action Steps: Run the following in a remote discovery script on the affected handler

 import com.errigal.snmpmanager.threads.pollers.*
 ClientActiveAlarmPoller.CLIENT_ACTIVE_ALARM_POLLER.run()
 

If this does not work an Snmp Manager restart will be required and customer will have to be informed of restart.

Auto Clear: Will clear when 'CLIENT ACTIVE ALARM POLLER IS ALIVE:' appears in the SNMP Manager logs
