Level: Critical
Purpose: This alert tells us that there is an issue with Ticketer connecting to the SMTP host for emailing.
Scenario: When this line is detected in logs
Could not connect to SMTP host
Resolution: In the past, the resolution for this was to make sure the Implicit TLS field is ticked in the email configuration. Other resolutions could be credentials/ incorrect SMTP server/ Incorrect port or even networking issues.
Manual Action Steps: Go to the ticketer → admin options → email → email accounts. Then enable implicit TLS. If that does not fix the issue check the information in the above section.
Auto Clear: This alert will clear once the log line is not found in the last 30 minutes
