====== Adding Attachments To Network Elements ====== Author: Anna Dowling In the Noc Portal, you can upload an attachment to an element. The following steps outline how to do this: * **Select a cluster** from the dropdown: {{:onboarding:nocportal:screen_shot_2016-08-09_at_11.53.18.png|}} * Find the network element you wish to upload the attachment to using the **search** option: {{:onboarding:nocportal:screen_shot_2016-08-09_at_11.57.47.png|}} * Once you have located the element and opened the pop up containing ticket and alarm information, scroll to the bottom of that display box. There you will the **Attachments** section: {{:onboarding:nocportal:screen_shot_2016-08-09_at_12.00.36.png|}} * To upload a new attachment click **Add Attachment to System**. When you click this it will bring you to the controller page to create and upload the new attachment: {{:onboarding:nocportal:screen_shot_2016-08-09_at_12.06.19.png|}} * Click **create** to upload the attachment and create the database entry for this attachment. * Now navigate back to the dialog box for the element and click the **Attach to this Element** button. This will present you with the controller page which will assign the attachment to the element. * Select the attachment that you created from the list and click **UpdateAttachment**: {{:onboarding:nocportal:screen_shot_2016-08-09_at_12.08.59.png|}} * The attachment has now been uploaded and linked to this element.
