 +====== Administration - Manage Roles and Permissions ======

 +Author: Colm Carew
 +
 +Each role should have a permission of 'gwt' and this should be a roles only permission in the Reporting Manager.
 +\\ Each role has a unique name and each user can have multiple roles.
 +\\ Roles are essentials names/tags assigned to users and reports to determine if a user can run/see a report.
 +
 +The keys icon is the Roles and Permissions icon.

 +
 +Clicking on it will create a dialog like :

 +{{:onboarding:reportingmanager:rolesandpermissiondialogreportingmanager.png|}}
 +
 +A role can be edited by double clicking on it :

 +{{:onboarding:reportingmanager:editreportingmanagerrole.png|}}
 +
 +The name field is the main thing that can be edited but in general we tend not to delete/edit roles we mainly create new roles.

 +
 +Again the name should be unique and the permissions it has must be 'gwt'

 +Create a new role. Assign this role to a report and to a user. Ensure when logged in as that user you can see and run the report. Log in as a user without the role and ensure you cannot see the report.
