 +======Getting Setup With Password Safe======

 +Author: Sophie Renshaw
 +
 +===== Introduction =====
 +
 +At Errigal we have a number of different applications, servers (both our own and our customers), web accounts and databases. Trying to remember all those passwords can become a bit tricky.
 +
 +To help with this and to ensure everything stays secure we use Password Safe to manage these passwords.
 +
 +You will receive a link to a download of password safe from HR.
 +

 +
 +===== Using Password Safe =====
 +
 +Password safe uses .psafe files to store the password.
 +
 +The latest ones can be accessed in the Errigal Dropbox in ''Errigal Shared Documents/Team''
 +
 +Using Password Safe to open one of these you will be prompted for a password to allow you to access.
 +
 +Please contact your mentor to retrieve this password - we want to keep everything as secure as possible.
 +
 +When you have entered the password for your Password Safe file you will see a list on the right hand side of different servers, databases, web accounts etc.
 +
 +You can click through these or search in the top left for whatever you are looking for.

 +
 +Once you have selected the server, database or web account password that you would like to see click the little glasses icon at the bottom to reveal the password.

 +Password Safe will eventually time out after inactivity requiring you to re-enter the password to gain access again.
